Opal Software

Maxon Australia now recommends Opal Software's "Modem Port Emulator", allowing you to create up to 255 serial port devices over a TCP/IP network, enabling your existing legacy software applications to connect to numerous remote modems via IP.

This Modem Emulation Software creates both virtual serial ports and virtual modems with the same functionality as real serial ports and hardware modems and establishes a connection to a remote IP socket. When the legacy application opens the virtual COM port, the Modem Port Emulator software simulates the modem handshaking via the virtual COM ports, and makes an IP connection to a remote device server at a specified IP address and port number. This allows any Legacy programs that can only connect to a serial port to now use IP Telemetry without changing your software.

Goldfields Mining Expo - Kalgoorlie, WA

GME was an exciting opportunity for Maxon, as this was our first time exhibiting at this show. This expo provided us the opportunity to catch up with our existing business partners and customers, meet new customers; as well as showcase many of our products and new Value Added Services.

The weather in Kalgoorlie was a little colder than we expected, but GME was a fantastic experience for Maxon representatives and customers, existing and new; to get a hands on demonstration of our products and Value Added Services.

Maxon had both technical and sales representatives in Kalgoorlie for the show; enabling us to demonstrate our products live at the exhibition. This was a great chance for customers to investigate existing, new and enhanced products and Value Added Services offered by Maxon; and how these could be used in customer situations.
